The main menu

The menus provide you with access to additional AthTek NetWalk commands, including those used to open and save trace files, change the currently selected adapter, reset the monitor’s counters, start and stop capture, access the online help files, and so on. In general, the buttons in the toolbar provide access to the features you will use most of the time; the menus provide access to additional complementary functions.

Note: Menu items will be greyed out if the corresponding feature isn’t available. For example, you cannot save a capture file if you didn’t capture or load any data before.

It contains the following items:
File	This menu contains items to open / save / close capture files, and to quit from AthTek NetWalk.
View	This menu controls history navigation and the toolbar and statusbar switcher.
Monitor	This menu contains items of monitor related, such as switch adapter and reset monitor.
Capture	This menu contains items of capture related, such as start / stop capture and capture option.
Tools	This menu contains various tools available in AthTek NetWalk, such as filter manager, graph manager, event manager and options.
Help	This menu contains items to help the user, such as access to some basic help, online access to some of the webpages, and the usual about dialog.
