Working with trace files
AthTek NetWalk can open a variety of common trace file formats, including:
- Packet capture (*.pcap)
- Sniffer capture (*.enc)
Most commands for working with trace files are found under the File menu. The File menu includes the following commands for working with files:
- Open: Displays a common Open dialog box where you can navigate to saved trace files that you want to open.
- Recent Files: Lists the most recent trace files you have opened or saved, giving you easy access to frequently used files.
- Close: Closes the current trace file.
- Close All: Closes all the trace files.
- Save As: Displays a common Save As dialog box in which you can save the current trace file with a different path and filename.
