About layered view
Eayspy’s layered view displays track network activity by layer. AthTek NetWalk uses a three-layer model of the network. The three layers are Application, Network/Transport, and Physical.

The three-layer model of the network simplifies network analysis since you are typically most interested in either application performance or the performance of the connections underlying the applications. For example, distinctions between Presentation layer services and Session layer services are not always meaningful for real-world network analysis.
