Decode toolbar

The decode toolbar is at the top of Decode view. It provides quick access to frequently used functions of decode related. The decode toolbar has the following items:

Go back
This item jumps back in the packet history.
Go forward
This item jumps forward in the packet history.
Show detail tree
Shows or hides the Decode view.
Show Hex view
Shows or hides the Hex view.
Toggle orintation
Changes the orientation of both the Decode and Hex view, when both views are displayed.
Goto
Brings up a dialog box that allows you to specify a packet number to go to that packet.
Jump to
Jumps to related application flow or IP/MAC host according to selected packet.
Find packet
This item brings up a dialog box that allows you to find a packet. There is further information on finding packets in Finding packets.
Colorize
Colorize the packet list (or not).
Decode options
Click this button to go to decode options page.
Apply filter
This item brings up a filter selecter dialog box, and lets you select a filter and apply it.
Remove filter
This item lets you remove the filter current applied.
Make filter
Click to make a filter based on the selected item in the Decode view. See Creating filters with the Make Filter command.
Packets
Shows the total number of packets (as well as the filtered number).
Filter
This item shows the current filter applied, if no filter is applied, it will be “Off”.
